My Journey

I can’t wait to hear your story! But until we can talk, I’ll share a little about me, and how we can work together!

I’m a creative digital advertiser who loves seeing people achieve success in their professional and personal lives. When a friend starts telling me about a new business idea, I immediately start thinking, “How can we best promote this? What outreach and networking is possible?” And, “Do you have pictures? Let’s get pictures!”

But this isn’t how I started out my professional life. Right out of high school I became involved in boats. Sailing boats. Big ones! Then, in college, I studied journalism, biology and dance. I spent one year writing and editing for the award-winning environmental magazine The Planet, and ultimately graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Ecology and minors in Chemistry & Dance. And after graduation I married a fellow sailor. Together, we had a simple idea: “Let’s start a sailing charter company!” We wanted to own a company that immersed people in the outdoor world and helped teach them to love it. To value it.

Easy, right?

Except it wasn’t easy. Or simple. But you already know that, because you own a business too!

Richie Norton wrote a book called, “The Power of Starting Something Stupid,” and explains how if we actually knew everything that would be required of us in a big endeavor (like starting a business)… we just wouldn’t do it.

If we were smart enough about it, we’d know how hard it was going to be. We’d know about all the late nights, the steep learning curve, and just how crazily intricate Facebook advertising is! And so we wouldn’t even begin.

But when you start stupid….

Well!

Then you just get the ball rolling and before you know it you’re discovering just how much you can do! And that’s what happened with our sailing company. We worked incredibly hard, had many setbacks, and got schooled. Hard. But before long, people were contacting us and asking us “How do you start a sailing charter business?” We were the newbies and the experts.

Right now, I bet you know how to get a business like yours up and running, but you may not know how to achieve the growth you need and the clients you want. And I’m betting you don’t want to start another business learning how to run digital advertising.

And you shouldn't have to.
